KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 29 — Many Malaysians with email accounts were surprised today with a Chinese New Year greeting from Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s personal 1Malaysia.com.my blog.
The prime minister welcomed the Lunar New Year and wished every Malaysian a prosperous beginning in the Year of the Rabbit.
Najib recalled how he would follow his parents visiting their Chinese friends and enjoy the various delicacies which included kuih kapit and pineapple tarts.
“A wide smile would cross my face when I received ‘angpows’ from my parents’ friends. Today, the celebrations have grown to include sate, ais kacang, mi rebus and maruku even!” he said in the email.
“It is my sincere hope that you achieve success and satisfaction in all your undertakings. Your accomplishments are reflective of our nation’s triumphs, and may we always excel beyond expectations!” he added.
On social network sites such as Twitter, many expressed surprise that Najib had their email addresses, especially some who do not celebrate the festive occasion.
The Lunar New Year is on February 3. Go here
A few times a year folks where TERANG TERANG you can BRIBE politicians by giving their anak beranak Ang Pows, Duit Raye etc......
How nice ya....
What is an acceptable amount?
Maximum of 100 Ringgit? 50 Ringgit?
Take a wild guess how thick that "WIDE SMILE" envelope is ?
MACC should set up an Audit Booth at all the "Open Houses", macam pergi Chinese Wedding, kasi envelope, taruk nama etc baru betui......
BTW Najib....Hari Raya, XMas tak pernah dapat email pun beb....
Got "special position" in your 1Malaysia concept ke?
