The Great Perak Peras Ugut

Couple of days back I saw the news on the award of land to Chinese Independent School....

I don't need to say much as Big Dog already had a post on it lu bace sendiri la....

Semalam satu bijik news lagi keluar...this time even better...

IPOH, July 21 – DAP MP for Taiping Nga Kor Ming claimed today that land allocation to Chinese independent schools in Perak was a Pakatan Rakyat (PR) initiative, and the current state government had executed the plan due to political pressure.

Nga said the land allocation was approved by the PR government while it was still in power.

“Barisan Nasional (BN), on its own, would never have done this,” he told The Malaysian Insider.

He added that the land allocation was given a go-ahead by the current BN government due to “political pressure” from the Chinese community in the state.

Nga was commenting on the Perak Government’s announcement to allocate a 1,012ha plot of land to nine Chinese independent schools in the state to develop an oil palm estate to be self-sustainable. More here

On the same day another news came out...

IPOH, July 21 — The Perak government has allocated 2,000 hectares of land to People’s Religious Schools (SAR) to be cultivated with oil palm aimed at improving and upgrading their management.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir said income from the land would be put into a special fund to be managed by the Perak Foundation and the state government.

He said the land allocated was on top of the additional allocation given by the state government to streamline the management of religious schools.

“This will strengthen the religious education institution,” he told reporters after chairing the State Executive Council meeting here today.

The Perak Pakatan Rakyat government had approved 1,000 hectares of land for Chinese private schools (Suwa).

Zambry said the Perak Islamic Economic Development Corporation had agreed to manage and cultivate the oil plam plantation to reap maximum income.

I accepted a proposal from representatives of the Association of People’s Religious Schools who met me last week.

“They wanted to be involved in managing the special fund,” he added. — Bernama
Couple of things came to my mind.....

Firstly why was the Independent Chinese School Allocation announced 1 day before the Sekolah Agama Rakyat allocation?

As for the Sekolah Agama Rakyat....I would recommend you to read this research document by Azizi Umar and Dr Supian Husin

Peranan Kerajaan Negeri dan Pusat Ke Atas Sekolah Agama Rakyat: Suatu Kajian Masalah Pengurusan Bersama Terhadap Pemilikan Kuasa

I would normally extract the relevant points but this document does not allow copy and paste......so please have a look at it....gua malas nak tulis balik .....

As for the the other one Sekolah Cina Independent gua malas mau cerita panjang 2 la........

Woi perak state why in the world do you need to support them and provide them a lifeline when what we need is A Single School?

Is it because of the "Political Pressure" from Chinese groups?

And Nga are you not gonna claim the 2000 hec allocation to Sekolah Agama Rakyat as a previous PR govt  initiative as well?

Ke lu punye Government dulu got different priority?

Let me guess......CHINESE FIRST?
