NAPIC + Google Earth: The Crisis Prevention Infrastructure for Malaysia
So how can we avoid such event and help our economy to effectively monitor real estate credit exposures.....
First we have a goldmine of real estate information residing in NAPIC (National Property Information Center).....just imagine if we can collect ALL transactional information on Real Estate both on Primary and Secondary market in Malaysia, this can be done via consolidating all Sale and Purchase Agreement with a standard data submission format.....get the legal firms to become collection agents........historical data can be derived from tax department.........Next consolidate all advertisement information in Major Print and Real Estate portals...this will become the source of Secondary market data both for rental and sales activity
All of these data then can be visualised via Google earth, perhaps via a special program to be agreed between NAPIC and Google.......The key is single unique identification number of the House/Apartment/Building/lands/units etc either via the "regulatory" unique address... once the ID can be constructed and maintained by the operator .......the business begins....
This information can then be used by the Banking Institutions say by integrating their internal loan portfolio data with the information in NAPIC being visualized via Google Earth......imagine a credit portfolio manager being able to view a specific location with the primary and secondary market prices, borrower profiles and credit history......Index of Real estate prices by location and type can then be build for monitoring and pricing of new loans........
8 years ago ..i went to a local bank for an Islamic Mortgage.......they only had "Al-Bai Bitamin Ajil".........looked into the fine print......somehow something was not right.....they projected the future price on my house by simply applying the current financing rate or the price of money on the original value of my house to derive the "profit" which i need to pay back on top of my principal payment.......i said F*&K......how come u use the price of money or interest rate??.....tell me what's ISLAMIC about that......so i went around to shop for my mortgage....everybody was offering the same thing......now even BNM is worried .......
Underlying Problems.......
so i spoke to a few people about setting up an indepth house price index so that loans can be priced more accurately......well that was 2000....we did not have the technology nor the political will to do it.......Have a look and let me know if this is possible......if it works go do it........and make some proper/halal money out of it......and remember to pay your zakat and be charitable to the needy.........

The 9 Billion Dollar Question???
end of october .....100,214,000,000 USD......
That is a lot of "approximated" market value....can't help but wonder how does one feel after spending 9 Billion + dollars......
One thing for sure our negara boys been pumping the system.... perhaps more so in Dollars after the evaporation in USD funding market....
U see when u put the money into your own system .....u cant count them as per IMF Definitions
------------------------------------------
"Reserves consist of official public sector foreign assets that are readily available to and controlled by the monetary authorities. Reserve asset portfolios usually have special characteristics that distinguish them from other foreign currency assets. First and foremost, official reserve assets normally consist of liquid or easily marketable foreign currency assets that are under the effective control of, and readily available to, the reserve management entity. Furthermore, to be liquid and freely useable for settlements of international transactions, they need to be held in the form of convertible foreign currency claims of the authorities on nonresidents"
-----------------------------------------
How much money actually left our system...official and unofficially???
How much money was spent on Ringgit interventions?
Currency Interventions Operations...................so they battle begins....strategic points of entry in spot and forwards market.........we've spent a lot of money in 97.....but not as much as what we spent throughout October 2008......
And guess what ........their boss......aka our Finance Minister......just announced a Sell Signal on Malaysian Banks..either that or he doesn't know what he is talking about....
----------------------
"Mr Najib said Malaysia had learned its lessons well from the 1997-98 East Asian financial turmoil, when the country plunged into political and economic chaos.
'Our banks, for example, are very liquid, our NPL (non performing loans ratio) is below 2.5 per cent, our capital adequacy ratio is below the international norm,' he said.
But as Malaysia steps up spending to prop up the economy amid sagging revenues, the government deficit is widening and expected to hit 4.8 per cent of gross domestic product next year.
Mr Najib appeared unperturbed."
-----------------------------
Mohon Izin ya......Dato' Sri Najib Tun Razak.....
Forget about becoming Finance minister la ....i don't think that you can handle it.....get someone proper to do the job........and another thing u better fire that Mamak from Penang.....Just focus on doing your job as a PM.....that itself is a lot of work......as a nation.....we're in deep shit here....

What next??
Who is coordinating all of these.......are they all working in unison.....what is their next course of action and what is their ultimate goals?
The proximity of events should be observed as barometer of conflict.....brewing slowly ....the police must be at their highest state of readiness.........our future lies in how well you do your job.....you've failed us many times over these past few years.........some events of your failure gives us nightmares...
do you want your children to go thru a horrible experience.......think about it people.....and talk with one another please...online seems to be the most truthful way of communicating.....problems are always sub-sets of bigger problems.....we need to look at the indicators around us on a daily basis...can u feel it in the air.......do you suddenly become different in anyway about how u feel towards another person of a different race or religion?

E Mede Yoga
Anyway...cant help but wonder about this Yoga Fatwa brouhaha.....
Why the need to issue the fatwa in the first place...was yoga becoming extremely popular among the muslim population...if so which segment of the muslim population? The pakcik makcik in the kampung? Or the Urban gym-going folks who got the money to pay for an exercise?.....What age group n sex do they belong to?
Where do they "congregate" to do this "ritual"? Gyms or Temples?? do u think any Muslim would go to a temple to learn yoga??
I think its all about sex......nothing else..just sex sex sex......all those hard bodies bending over..........and the fantasy of sexual gymnastics......
If you want to talk about "akidah terganggu" banyak gile besides yoga la beb....plus if you do study the muslim yoga practitioners mostly women i think.....not many man would have the ability to go thru a sun salutation for 10 minutes..unless you're one of those "vain-metrosexual/gay" kinda folks........i tried once capek mas.....and by the way how many actually achieve an "out of body" experience with yoga????.........drop an acid folks....in 30 minutes i guarantee u the "doors of perception" shall open.......
Lets do a simple statistical guess
How many Non-Muslim converted because of the teachings of "Silat" vs Muslims converting to Hinduism due to the teaching of "Yoga"???
I myself know at least 15 people who have converted to Islam due to Silat.....you wanna know why....its the need to know deeper, to have the ability to learn the next level which can only happen if you are a muslim...although there are some "garis panduan" issued......
Perhaps Hindu Sanggam should issue their own "fatwa" on Silat?......Ane go take care your own people first la!!!
Better go chew on my peyote now........

Defragmenting Money Politics........
Here's the thing about money politics....money first then politics....and money always control politics...that's just how the system works....no two ways about it....simple concept of concentrating wealth at the very top.....and some trickle down crap shit for the masses......halo...200ringgit and kain pelekat....lu biar serious beb....kain pelekat....for real............always wondered if the money was inside, with the kain pelekat acting as an envelope?
Money has always been at the seat of power for a very long time in the modern history....before it was actual physical wealth.....one cow for your girlfriend kinda thing...folks in the irian jaya still do that...i can buy your wife with a bird......so when men discovered precious minerals such as gold, silvers..which could exchange a cow for just a couple of coins....wealth became mobile.....and when confidence builds ....more transactions are conducted....then some people became very good at making this wealth work further by acting as intermediaries between the surplus and the deficit sectors, they then naturally will have the confidence of other wealthy people....for making more money....
holy shit forgot what i wanted to tell u earlier...gua kena saman....big time kat bunderan senayan,jakarta..this otek saje je cari pasal...i changed lanes in a lintang pukang roundabout..its not a roundabout to begin with but sure looks like one, bloody thing is confusing, say ur coming from 6oclock u can only go to 12,3 and back to 6, and if ur coming from 12 u can only go to 3 and 6, and if u come from 9, u can go to 12, 3 and 6.....err how am i doing so far..u lost or still with me .....anyway coming from 6 o’clock i was on the inside lane, next to a metromini which is equivalent to our old mini buses but longer and is packed with passengers......i tried going left earlier but this bus driver just simply dont understand what a yellow blinking light on side are for......bingai siut....
next i was pulled in by this extremely enthusiastic traffic cop with one of those mini lightsabers...ok...now what....window down "apa kabar pak?".....then off he goes into this mini lecture on what i did (tried to change lanes with proper turning indicators )...took my license n registration....came out of the car..first thing came to mind was Robin. ....we didnt talk much he wrote a ticket......n took my license away.....eh hang on a minute.....i read the surat tilang(saman) for small prints n asked him how come he's taking my license away....he showed me where it is...n said that they can confiscate both my license as well as my registrations if i commit another offense and just leave me with 2 surat tilang that i can bring along with me to drive until the date of my hearing....the fine is peanuts at 30,000 to 50,000 rupiah.....but they put u thru that to ensure that u take the whole thing seriously..... perhaps our PDRM should employ similar tactics to improve collection activities......some enteprising section of the police department actually sell this surat tilang for u to use before u get ur plate number...over here u can get your brand new car weeks before the registration number is out...those who cant wait simply put on a false number as in the surat tilang....wahla....a new SMI was invented
anyway back to the money thinggy.... these people who are in control of money now have the ability to borrow more money for other things..because people have confidence in them to be able to pay back with interest..... blessed with the power of leverage they became extremely powerful to even decide fate of nations, rosthchild for instance had the ability to finance france's freedom, man they even finance opposites side in a war with another....and take the land from the losing side as payment from the winner....
No matter how far back you go into history....it was always Money that decided the seat of power, even under “people” power revolutions the underlying is always money ...how else could you get all those people to go to the streets....the bulk of “protesters” do have a function to serve their political masters’ will......and yes they do get paid for it.....out here in Jakarta i can organise a sizeable demonstration within 3 days notice with Nasi Bungkus + Es Teh-Tawar and 20,000 rupiah appearance fee.
So if we cannot separate Money from Politics or Politic from Money, allow me to ask u a few question. Who controls the political financing machinery in Malaysia? How are funds aggregated and distributed? What is the allocation policy? What is "code of conduct" of the players involved?
Lets say a ‘hypothetical” situation, take UMNO for example
Lemma 1:
Payment of Bribes is to buy Vote for Position in Party, this in effect is an “Option” contract sold by the Prospective Candidates
Lemma 2:
If position in party is successful then “real-pay off” happens via potential contracts from ‘Government” or “UMNO Linked Corporates” to the “Option” holders
So now based on this two statement alone lets see if we can try to answer some of the questions above......how do we do this ah...
First, all contracts by the government (federal and state) should be looked into, i mean “ALL” including the small ones below 100K.....from stationary supplies, toilet maintanence, infra maintanence etc....lets see who the beneficiaries are (this is where the major pool of UMNO Cawangan/bahagians are at)...was there any “competitive” tender involved?
Next identify ministry with UMNO member in a position of authority, as well as Companies with UMNO members as shareholders.....this should be your main agent of distributions. Then identify “ciku-rat” facilitators in the form of government officers, who participated in the decision making process for disbursement of the “benefits” i.e contracts and land especially.....Now the best part, how much of this “benefit” is actually in real malay hands without the “typical” chinaman taukey standing behind the scene as in our classic “Ali-Baba” business model....while we are doing that perhaps we should also look into how many “true” hard working subcontractors got burned by the “Agents”....these are the small money i.e. below RM 10.0 Million from end to end perspective.......The big money are typically paid out via Capital market transaction.....but these people are smart to operate below the radar of disclosure by undertaking small trades .....and these runs into the 100’s of million thru Trust Accounts, Offshore Centers & 2 Ringgit SPV’s and a couple of merchant bankers in the loop....this one is a little bit tricky as they are all disguised as a genuine transactions.......in the mid 90's the focus was into IPO where you will get the pay-off from your "option" straight out of the pockets of the investing public
Too much discussion have been on the issue of Money Politics in UMNO with major focus revolving around “Lemma 1” and how to ‘fix’ the voting process...think about the amount of money involved during this voting process Vs the amount of money after the election i.e when the “elected representative” is in the seat of power....which is the BIGGER one? You must start at the source to understand the value chain as what we are seeing in the UMNO elections is a “small” part of the eco-system....how many Malay tycoons are out there anyway to finance all of these shit, hence if we were to deduce from the simple observation of the distribution of wealth by race group, then there is the “possibility” that the political financing machinery in Malaysia is orchestrated by the Chinese.....how do you malay folks out there feel about that..hah? Jual maruah bangsa dan ugama... tak reti malu ke.....anak bini makan duit haram.....ape nak jadi woi.... and by the way most of them stick out like a sore thumb....you could easily identify in the UMNO Cawangan and Bahagians who these culprits are......expensive watches ..check...Merc/BMW check.....frequent “international” trip to jakarta for golf where they typically end up “putting” another “hole” after the 18th...check.....they all look cheap and slimy with no class....though a new breed is emerging....”suave” early 40’s with their SUV’s .......tell tale signs are clearly out there.....simply follow the money....
So where do we go from here....do you want to get a couple of the “agents” or the “benefactor” or do you want to disrupt the supply chain altogether.......and ensure that the system crumbles... Heck there must be a pretty well oiled system in place.....if it is a system then it can fail to work properly if you push the right buttons.....if it is just a bunch of random potentially interconnected events then more difficult............on the other hand if people are clearly motivated by money why don't lure them into becoming informants with “considerable” monetary reward say 20,000 in tax rebates to start with......if Microsoft was able to do that in its battle against software piracy in Malaysia...imagine what the Malaysian Government armed with the Tax Department, Customs, Registrar of Companies, Sec Commission, BNM , ACA and the Police Financial Intelligence Team can do...kalau nak seribu daya brader...........and by the way i do believe the existence of “pure n clean souls” out there not part of this sick “eco-system”, most of whom would be willing to come forward as long as their identity is well protected.....mmm well that's another topic altogether.....
Better get ready for my "sidang" on 2nd Dec.........lets see if i can get back my license without paying for the fine, and get them to reimburse my return cab fare for coming over.....yeah rite..
UPDATES of SIDANG 3rd December :
Folks I'm ashamed of myself........apparently u can send someone else to collect ur license.....plus the police put u thru a long waiting period if u do not use the services of a "Chalo" who operates like a "Runner" for a fee.......so i calculated the total value in time usage, effort and stress impact for going thru the whole process...Vs 128,000 Rupiah (about 39Ringgit) all in fee inclusive of bayar saman...........aduh.......how la not to do it........

Confessions from Room 101
Enough of this crap, inconsistent rambling..... my point is.....this Nat-Geo pic on the left is what we we would become once the DNA bill becomes law n goes in-force with a policeman appointed by the Home Ministry in-charge....... everything seems like an afterthought...then they try to counter everything with the unseen "Rock solid" Data Protection Act...even with that i'm still worried actually knowing how valuable datas are.....insurance n biotech companies would love to get their hands on them .......mmm..ever got a call from strange faceless telemarketer who seems to know a few common things about u n u wonder how they got ur blardy fuckin number.....our "private" data is an active "organized"black market for years......identity thefts....that's our thing actually......the Malaysians are so good at this.....u can check with Visa International .....they effortlessly steal ur shit without u knowing it.....in atm machines., hotels, shops..everywhere...data data data......arent we all just numbers anyway....
What if all new babies born after this bill will have their DNA taken with or without consent??....and imagine finding out the baby is not yours...a day after ..........i would rather not know forever.....

Building the National Language Failure Index
Look at us now…… much have been said since KijangMas Racial Polarisation and the Forging of Bangsa Malaysia …on the need for a uniting language which is already part and parcel of our constitution…what else is there to talk about?? Most people are inclined to point out vernacular school as the main culprit ……to me it is the "source" of the original problem but now the "effect" itself have become a bigger problem.hence..I would rather point the finger at us …..yes all of US….you and me and all the people around us…..are we not all customers some time in our lives of the printed press……how many of you got books, newspapers, periodicals etc……How much do u spend annually on reading materials? Let’s say 400 ringgit assuming the typical annual paper price + a few magazines….say how many of us are out there…10 million maybe?? Say out of that 30% are regular customers, how much would the industry be worth..say simple congak-congak could easily come up to 1.2Billion Ringgit……..or maybe lower...shit i dont know....but at least in the 100's of million
So now folks take a walk into our “Carrefour” of book-stores say MPH, Borders, Knokuniya, Popular etc….take a look at the size of the Bahasa Malaysia section….and compare that to the English section…sad indeed…..ok what if we were to look at the revenue composition of all bookstores in Malaysia how much is derived from Bahasa Malaysia…..I bet the numbers also indicate the same observation that you see in their stores…..It’s so simple if there is no demand then they would not bother to translate international books into our beloved national language….these are “pure for profit” institutions who will act only if there is sustainable demand to justify the investment into translating the magazines, books etc into Bahasa……some of you might be tempted to say but if we translate into Bahasa we would not be able to catch up with the evolution of terminology in Science etc…..I say NO…this is the very reason that our language have not evolve to the level where Bahasa Indonesia is and have lead us to ciplak from their language……just go to Indonesia and look at how their Bahasa have evolved and how "big" the size of the English language section in their bookstores……even International monthly or weekly periodicals have a Bahasa Indonesia version……hell they even got Playboy in Bahasa… or instead look at Malaysia music industry..... just turn on the radio n u'll notice that the Indonesian songs dominates the airwaves.....why?? Is our language so bad the we r unable to verbalise our thoughts n feelings in a convincing manner??Tak cukup vocab kut.....
To the policy makers out there may I recommend setting up a National Language Failure Index by monitoring the revenue composition and the square-foot coverage ratio [ (Total Size of Bahasa Section divided by ( Total Size of Bookstore – the administrative sections)] in the Malaysian Bookstores dedicated to promoting the sales of books in Bahasa Malaysia……lets see when we can overcome this coup d'état on our beloved Bahasa Malaysia……..if we want to go to the extreme lets disgorge the ill gotten gains via special “assimilation tax” on all English language books revenue…
So folks are you ready to read your Economist, Time, Fortune,Cosmo etc in Bahasa??? I believe we must do something about it urgently..if not Bahasa Malaysia could never fulfill its constitutional objective......

Melayu........think again
I typically have to do a prevalidation to avoid committing the occasional faux-pas in offering my salam to a non-Muslim pribumi looking Indonesian…..man they even go to Sunday mass wearing songkok….
So here we are a nation divided trying to find our identity..in search for the "elusive" Bangsa Malaysia amidst our cultural diversity…..fast forward say…30 years ahead…we all live in harmony after years of total assimilation into becoming the Bangsa Malaysia…all happy and dandy speaking bahasa fluently….the Kamus dewan would have added another 50 page by then…no more borrowing from Bahasa Indonesia…..Our underlying political landscape revolves around a very complex race based game theory…same game for 51 years……what would happen if there is a significant conversion of Malays Muslims into Christianity…..how would the game be then?
Most of the Indonesian Christian pribumis were muslims a generation before…poverty lead them to conversion…..On the ground in Banda Aceh …days after the devastating 2004 tsunami…..people were walking around like zombies searching for loved ones…….the missionaries were extremely quick to set up camp……and before long make-shift mobile churches dots the ravaged landscape…….thousands converted and relocated into other parts of Sumatra…
Article 11 n 12 in our fed consti provide for the right to religious freedom……but are we ready to face it and defend the constitutional rights of our Christian Malays? Will we be ready for Christian Malays walking about town in full view……i bet even now some of you out there would probably know one or two Malay Christian converts…….how do u feel about it? Will they still belong to your definition of “Malay”?

Who was supposed to be incharge of this...anyway ????
Article 153 framed the thinking of the Bumiputra lot....all this "discussion" from the perspective of non-beneficiaries of A.153 as well as previous abusers of A.153 who could no longer dip its fingers into it .....are counter-productive to the whole process. If the problem was the delivery mechanism than fix it, dont go into do "we" still need such a policy..given the fact the intended objective is still far.
Countries grow and wealth becomes more concentrated, a typical behavior of market economy with some help from the hidden hands of government....not just for the case of Malaysia...yg lu orang kecoh kecoh ni apehal beb??
Lets go back to 1950's had we not put in A.153 how would the current composition of wealth in Malaysia be? In the early years of its implementation the people most negatively affected from it are the foreign companies who came along with the western colonial powers??? Who cares about them, if i was in power then i would have nationalized everything as send those good for nothing invaders back where they came from.....
Read A.153 carefully...who is tasked to undertake the function?? Agong ..so if the people whom the Agong have delegated perform poorly/or abused the delegated responsibility then he should with the powers vested under the constitutions undertake a full audit of the whole activities involved....
Perhaps it is time for Malaysia to have a full analysis something like A Royal Commission of Audit on the Performance of NEP, A.153 and the future challenges facing the Malays in a globalized environment and make strategic recommendations to the Rulers on how best for them to undertake n monitor their own performance in upholding A.153--> This can be a private and honest report submitted to the Rulers and it is for them to then direct the government to execute the recommendations if needed..
Be brave folks the more u sapu crap under the carpet the more u have to clean up in years to come..i think even the pakcik makcik in the kampung have evolved in their thinking....to be able to appreciate about what the problems are......be part of the solution....
We must not forget about how we got here.......those who require enlightenment go and read http://patanibook.blogspot.com/ as well as his latest gem http://deminegara.blogspot.com/2008/11/racial-polarisation-and-forging-of.html

In search for brader melayu with balls n brains
Malaysia oh Malaysia....ape sudah jadi...blardy politicians got no telur to negate whole misconception on NEP, Article 153, Bahasa Malaysia, Education Systems etc etc... more like embracing the whole chaos.....
Two voice of reason emerge...JebatMustDie of www.jebatmustdie.wordpress.com and the other KijangMas of www.deminegara.blogspot.com both command the ability to reason with style and leave dissenting voices stumped in the corner...next round please...on to their next post...Both have superb knowledge and passion for history and writes beautifully...
The ever polite JMD is armed with structured logical arguments supplemented with factual observations..... KijangMas on the other hand takes it to another level with straight up in your face adrenaline pumping kinda discussion....the best part is.....both of them choose to remain anonymous.....this attribute will be key to their strength ...allowing them to remain pure and objective without their real life attachements to worry about...we watched the evolution of JMD post-PRU12 from being a pissed off dude unable to take it anymore to a thought leader commanding respect in the online community....a new phase begun when blue blood KijangMas the great, great, great grandchild of Tengku Temenggong Aria Pahlawan burst into the scene at the height of the loopsided so called racial issues discussion..and charmed us with his frankness........both are nationalist at heart n they love our beloved country....my take is at least 10 to 15 years separate these two bloggers..both have been in the world of finance sometimes in their career....one a Kelantanese decent n the other from Malacca......two old malay civilisations in our Tanah Melayu...these two could possibly have met our previous pahlawans who lived long before the birth of Malaysia as we know it.....they knew exactly from those where future historians could only read in textbooks.... well traveled ....they are amazing at observing normal daily lives of those around them....they're the funny one in the family...n their friends just love them....most have stayed for a long time.....they do not tolerate fools gladly but have learned to mute their true criticism to maintain cordial interactions...
They MUST remain anonymous although the online and offline community is dying to know who these Malay heroes are....i myself am one of them...who wish that i could shake their hands n pat them on their backs for a job well done.....they must be tempted to share the new found fame......i plead u to wait... the right moment will come when the movement grows in magnitude...when every diner table conversation takes root from your original post.....sieze the moment then..
One thing we all must do if we believe in making things better....is to take this discussion to the next level...but how can this be when our best minds simply cant step forward......simple solution is that these two must find a way to get their message to a larger audience.....i think it is already in their mind......
To the both of you...make us proud!!!! N Keep the ball rollin...
PS: you two must meet soon!!!! and perhaps come out with another classic...if i may suggest :) a joint piece on Malaysian Education issues, challenges, future directions, role play of stakeholders and launch it as a portal .....More like you will come....
